The Tiny Shifts That Change Everything
The God Wink That Fell From the Sky
We often imagine miracles as these big, dramatic, life-altering events. Moments that split our lives into “before” and “after.” But most miracles don’t arrive with fireworks at all. They come quietly. Gently. Almost imperceptibly.
Some people call them God Winks. Those subtle nudges, coincidences, and perfectly timed interactions that shift something inside us or around us. I think of them as micro-miracles: the tiny adjustments, surprising openings, and unexpected encounters that change the direction of our day, our mood, or even our future… if we’re paying attention.
One of the examples of a micro-miracle that stands out to me happen to my friend Deirdre. And it all began with something so simple, so accidental, that most people would never think to call it a miracle at all.
But it was.
For months, Deirdre had been struggling with unexplained health issues. She knew something was wrong, but no specialist in her state had the expertise she needed. Without a diagnosis, without treatment, her symptoms were poised to become a lifelong, chronic condition. She was doing everything she could… but it felt like the answers were always just out of reach.
Her husband, who travels 75% of the time for work, happened to be on a flight one day, tired, distracted, going through the motions of another trip. As he lifted his carry-on into the overhead bin, his water bottle slipped out and fell directly onto the woman sitting beneath it.
He is a stoic man by nature, the kind who doesn’t strike up conversations with strangers, especially on airplanes. But in that moment, mortified, he apologized over and over. And because of the mishap, he kept talking. He tried to be kind. Courteous. Human.
And here’s where the miracle slipped in.
The woman he accidentally dropped his water bottle on was connected to a specialty clinic in New York City, one of the few clinics in the country that treated exactly the condition Deirdre had been struggling with.
Within weeks, Deirdre had answers that local doctors had been unable to provide.
Within months, she had a diagnosis, a treatment plan, and a path forward.
And twice a year, she now travels to NYC to receive the kind of premium care that changed everything for her health and her life.
All because her husband dropped a water bottle.
This is what I mean by micro-miracles.
They often look like accidents.
They often feel like inconveniences.
They arrive disguised as mishaps, embarrassments, or everyday interactions we could easily dismiss.
But beneath the surface, something larger is at work. Lining up support, connection, healing, and the next right step.
That’s the thing about miracles:
Sometimes they are woven into the most ordinary moments.
Sometimes they are delivered through the people we least expect.
And sometimes they fall, quite literally, from the sky.
Miracles aren’t rare.
They are happening quietly all around us, woven into conversations, timing, intuition, and chance encounters that end up shaping our lives in ways we never could have orchestrated on our own.
The “Perfect Timing” Miracle
The Parking Fairy & the Perfectly Timed Micro-Miracle
Not all miracles arrive through people. Some show up in the smallest, most ordinary moments, like pulling into a crowded lot during the holidays and discovering the universe has saved you the perfect spot.
I call it my parking fairy.
I started talking to her years ago when I noticed a pattern: every time I worried about not finding a spot, one would appear. It happened so consistently that I finally started asking for help instead of stressing, and without fail, she delivered.
This holiday season, I was overwhelmed, feeling intensely hurried, and the parking lot was predictably chaotic. I fully expected to circle endlessly or to walk through the snow and slush wearing the wrong kind of shoes. But as I turned the corner, a car backed out of the best spot. The one no one ever gets. The timing was so uncanny I actually laughed.
I pulled in, put the car in park, and just sat there for a moment, letting a quiet wave of relief settle over me. It was such a tiny thing… a parking space. But it carried a bigger message:
You’re supported. Things are lining up for you. You’re not doing this alone.
These micro-miracles interrupt the worry, the rushing, the heaviness we carry. They whisper:
Look again. There’s grace here.
You are being helped in ways you cannot always see.
You are being guided to the right place at the right time.
That one rock-star parking spot didn’t change my life, but it changed my day. It softened something. It reminded me to trust the flow rather than fight it.
And that’s the power of these tiny pockets of grace:
they recalibrate our trust, shift our perspective, and remind us that the universe is responsive.
Sometimes the universe speaks through lightning bolts.
Other times, it simply hands you excellent holiday parking.
The Internal Shift Miracle
Not all miracles happen around us. Some happen within, quietly shaping our day before anything even unfolds.
A few weeks ago, I woke up with a feeling I couldn’t explain.
Not a vision, not a dramatic sign…just a calm, steady certainty:
“I’m going to meet someone today who will help jump-start my business.”
No logic behind it.
Just that subtle inner bell that rings when something is aligning.
And sure enough, it happened.
Later that afternoon, during my first hypnotherapy session with a new therapist, she mentioned an idea I’d never considered: creating a networking group for holistic practitioners who need support on the business side of their work. She even gave me a contact to help me get started.
That early-morning knowing became the spark for a whole new offering I’m now preparing to launch (stay tuned… this micro-miracle is still unfolding.)
A whole chain of micro-miracles began unfolding from a single moment of clarity.
But the miracle didn’t start during our meeting.
It started the moment I opened my eyes and felt that yes inside me. And I stayed open enough to recognize the opportunity when it appeared.
For me, internal miracles often come this way.
Sometimes as intuition. Sometimes as a sudden shift in mood.
And often, as a song in my head before I’m fully awake, a message, a tone-setter for the day.
These inner shifts are micro-miracles of their own. They reorganize something inside us. Making us more receptive.
They point our attention toward the people and moments already on their way.
Not all miracles are visible. Some are felt. Some are sensed.
Some arrive as a quiet inner knowing that guides you exactly where you’re meant to go.
The Words You Needed to Hear
Some miracles arrive through timing. Some through intuition.
And some arrive through people, often without them realizing they’re delivering exactly what your heart has been asking for.
One of those moments happened on a day when everything felt heavy. I was questioning my next steps, questioning my timing, and, at 61, wondering if I was starting too late in life to build what I truly wanted.
Then a friend said a sentence so simple it stopped me mid-thought:
“You’re not starting over. You’re starting from wisdom.”
Ten words. But they rearranged me.
I felt something soften inside, like a doorway that had been stuck finally opened. The doubt didn’t disappear instantly, but it loosened. I could breathe again. I could remember that nothing in my life had been wasted, every chapter was preparation, not delay.
That’s the quiet power of these micro-miracles:
They don’t always change the situation, but they change you in the situation.
A single sentence can redirect a day. A comment can dissolve fear. A few unexpected words can confirm a path you were afraid to trust.
Human beings are often the delivery system for miracles.
We speak wisdom, encouragement, and clarity into each other’s lives without even knowing why.
Sometimes miracles arrive as events.
But often, they arrive as words, perfectly timed messages that shift something inside you the moment you hear them.
And when you start noticing these moments, you realize something beautiful, that we all carry the potential to be someone else’s miracle, simply by saying the thing our heart nudges us to say.
Why These Tiny Moments Matter
Micro-miracles may look small on the surface, an aligned parking spot, a perfectly timed conversation, a feeling of clarity that arrives the moment you need it. But their impact reaches far deeper than the moment itself.
These tiny sparks of grace accumulate.
Each one retrains your internal lens, shifting your attention from fear to possibility, from isolation to support, from randomness to alignment. They gently teach you to look for what’s going right instead of bracing for what might go wrong…but you have be aware…look for and recognize miracles, even the tiny ones for this effect to take place.
The more you notice them, the more they appear.
And when you start recognizing the small miracles, the big ones suddenly become easier to see—not because they’re happening more frequently, but because your awareness is finally tuned to them.
These moments interrupt old patterns, the patterns that say you’re alone, unsupported, or off-track. They break the mental loops that keep you focused on lack, struggle, or discouragement. A micro-miracle acts like a tiny crack in an old belief, letting a little light in. And once that light enters, it creates space for something new to grow.
This is where my hypnosis and subconscious work comes in.
Your subconscious mind is trained through repetition and emotional significance. When you begin noticing micro-miracles, you are teaching your subconscious to expect alignment… to notice support… to assume things are working out for you. You’re gently rewiring your internal system from skepticism to receptivity.
Noticing miracles, especially the small, subtle ones, shifts your entire internal state.
It activates possibility. It soothes fear. It strengthens trust.
And it invites more of the same.
Micro-miracles matter because they change the story you tell yourself about your life and that story becomes the lens through which your subconscious creates your future.
They remind you, again and again, that you are guided. You are supported. You are not walking this path alone. And we are all connected.
The Art of Becoming Miracle-Aware
If miracles are always happening, quietly, subtly, woven through the edges of our days. Then the real practice is learning to notice them. Miracle-awareness isn’t about forcing magic to appear; it’s about softening into a way of seeing that invites possibility.
Here are a few gentle ways to open that lens:
1. Slow down enough to notice.
Most miracles whisper. A pause before stepping out of the car, a deep breath before responding, noticing nature or simply looking up from your phone can create the space needed to actually see what’s unfolding around you.
2. Use hypnotherapy or self-hypnosis to heighten awareness.
When the mind is relaxed, the subconscious becomes more receptive. Hypnosis helps quiet the noise, reduce the internal rush, and opens a clearer channel for intuition, alignment, and those subtle miracle-moments you might otherwise miss.
3. Keep a small “miracle log.”
Write down even the tiniest moments like perfect timing, unexpected help, clarity that arrived out of nowhere.
Logging miracles teaches your brain to look for more of them and gradually shifts your internal narrative from fear to support.
4. Ask, “What went right today?”
We’re trained to scan for problems. This simple question resets your lens to notice grace rather than stress.
5. Interpret events with generosity instead of fear.
A delay, a redirect, an unexpected encounter—miracles often hide inside what feels inconvenient. Choosing the generous interpretation makes space for alignment.
Miracle-awareness is a practice. A softening. A willingness to believe that life is interacting with you, not just happening to you.
And the more you look for micro-miracles, the more you’ll see, until one day you realize you’ve been living inside a thousand quiet blessings all along.
Miracles Are Already in Motion
You don’t have to wait for something dramatic to feel guided or supported. You don’t have to wait for the lightning bolt moment, the life-changing event, or the unmistakable sign from above.
Miracles are already in motion, quietly weaving through your days in the form of micro-moments. A perfectly timed phone call. A sudden wave of clarity. A stranger’s kindness.
A song that lifts you before your feet even hit the floor.
These aren’t coincidences. They’re the subtle ways life nudges you, supports you, and points you gently toward what’s next.
If you’re willing to notice them, they begin to multiply. If you’re open to receiving them, they begin to deepen. If you’re willing to trust them, they begin to transform you from the inside out.
